Vision 20/20 Seeks Presentation Proposals
Vision 20/20 is seeking proposals for presentations at the 2012 National Symposium on Model Performance and Fire Prevention. Vision 20/20’s goal is to bridge the gap in fire prevention in the US. Presentations may be submitted from state and local fire prevention officials or other prevention advocates, including Fire Corps teams.
Fire Corps organizations work to create valuable resources and foster programs that assist community members with non-emergency tasks such as fire prevention. Programs that have implemented prevention projects that wish to be considered must have proven some level of effectiveness within fire prevention, focus on implementation experience, and provide guidance for successful replication of programs in other jurisdictions.
Model programs that represent all disciplines of fire prevention such as fire engineering, enforcement, education, fire investigation, and infrastructure will be considered for presentation. Any model programs that represent the strategies of Vision 20/20 including prevention advocacy, marketing, culture, technology, and codes and standards will also be considered.
The deadline for proposal submissions is December 15, 2011. For more information go to the Vision 20/20’s National Symposium web site or contact Peg Carson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
